Wow, WSJ online gave NetSuite a screenshot on the iPhone, but didnt even link their name. Yet, they linked Saleforce (since they are PUBLIC).

- Purchases taking less than 1 hour dropped from 50 percent to 43 percent. These are the purchases that may have taken place on one visit.
- Purchases taking longer than 3 hours grew from 40 percent to 44 percent. The majority of these purchases were probably multi-visit in nature.
- 30 percent of all purchases took more than one day. So if you are an e-commerce site, know that there is a lot of money on the table when it comes to capturing people for multiple visits to your site.
- People requiring more than three days went up 23 percent (from 21 percent to 26 percent).
- 18 percent of purchases took more than one week, a 28 percent increase from 2005.

NetSuite web site design is really no different than any other type of ecommerce development, so the SEO - Search Engine Optimization, is really not different either. Here is an example of how to set up your Netsuite web site item template for SEO...

NetSuite SEO Tips for Item Template basic example:

1. Need an H1 tag - basic HTML tag that defines the header of your page. In this case it is the title of the product. Example code (code changed for demo):
   h1<%=getCurrentAttribute('item','storedisplayname')%>/h1
   


2. Main keyword should be used 3 times with the live text of the page - hidden text is not acceptable. In this example, it is used:
   A. in the h1 tag
   B. in the (P) description text - preferably with a (B) or (STRONG) around it
   c. in the left column
   


3. Better use of internal links. Breadcrumbs, parent categories links and related items are great to make search engine spiders move broadly across your site.


4. The title tag need to include the keyword(s) you are targeting
   
   
5. Since most search engines ignore meta tags, you really do not need to do individual meta tags for each item. But it doesnt hurt to have them and there are work-arounds to make all your meta tags dynamic so they are not manually entered.

This announcement is an expansion of the relationship between LG electronics and Google. Other LG phones have Google software pre-installed, and access to other Google services. On other LG handsets however, Yahoo applications are offered.

By the end of this year, iPhone and VCast will not be the only YouTube enabled handsets available. LG is developing a new model that will have direct access to YouTube and will preview this fall in Europe.

"The technology will give users the ability to shoot, view and upload videos onto YouTube from their phones just as they would on their PCs. Also, videos on the site will be easily viewable,"

I have been using the iPhone and NetSuite together and it does work well. It doesn't matter what size your dashboard is, it fits perfectly. You can even have multiple windows going at once. On wifi its perfect, without wifi it can be slow. I can do everything, run reports, edit my theme and all. Basically everything you can do on a regular computer. One thing I haven't figured out yet is copy and paste, simple, but I don't think it is an option. Usually, I just like to read the user group on my iPhone!

Definitely a convenience. Some companies have even done press releases about NetSuite and the iPhone...

Netsuite SEO case study for CallCTT. A company that houses over 10,000 square feet of computer cables, switchboxes and networking products. We begin with a quick Search Engine Optimization review from google:

site:http://www.callcct.com returns 1,120 results

This immediately tells me that A. the site is coded correct for SEO spiders and B. that there are not enough external links pointing to their site. They also have a Google site map set up, along with Netsuite Descriptive URLs. SO it seems the basics are done. Next we need to run some reports and see how they are ranking.

NetSuite, an on-demand applications company controlled by Oracle's Larry Ellison, has filed for an auction-style initial public offering, according to a Monday filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

This Netsuite IPO may be good timing.
